About the Chef and Team
Chef Pratheep Shunmugasundaram
Senior Trainer, Pastry and Baking
Chef Pratheep began his professional career in 2003, and has held various positions in luxury hotels and bakery chains both overseas and in Singapore, which included his role as Assistant Pastry Chef at Cedele.
Chef Pratheep discovered his passion for training early on at SHATEC, where he lectured in the Diploma in Pastry and Baking programme from December 2011 to 2017. Following this, he polished his product development savviness as R&D-cum-Training Executive Chef for the local retail market at Swee Heng Bakery Pte Ltd.
Chef Pratheep also picked up the latest pastry trends at the Valrhona School in Japan before he returned to SHATEC as Senior Trainer. Updated with three exciting years of industrial experience and professional skills garnered, he currently guides and mentors his students to pastry excellence in both form and technique!
